Homecoming Parade
We decided it would be the best if we had 2 or 3 cameras and we would record all of the clubs and sports teams with different angles and locations. we interviewed random students and teachers from PRT middle school, Meadow lane elementary, and ONW. Our story board wasn't set and stone we filmed and put all of the clips together in a video summarizing the whole event. we favorited our favorite clips and arranged them by floats and clubs we added some interviews and clips of the crowd to show the atmosphere during the parade.
I learned that even if you have like 3 hours of clips and you need it under 2 minutes long you have to make sure everything gets in there that needs to be apart of the video to correctly summarize the event. Collaboration was a big part of his project we had 3 different cameras going around the parade we had to move withe the parade but still get every float and have different angles for each of the cameras we had 3 people working on the video for the first 30 seconds of the video and it ended up being just me that had to have the deadline accomplished I met the deadline after hours of work.
I would have one person work on the whole video editing part because with too many ideas it gets too messy and takes to long to actually put the video together because only one person can actually use the computer the rest of the people are just there sharing there ideas and it gets too over whelming.
I would have the 3 or even more cameras out there because that really had a positive impact on the video some people got some really good angles of things others missed. I think it like we covered the whole parade because we were all set in different places and it made it very hard to miss anything.
Have several different camera angles and make sure you actually have more than enough for your video just incase the shots didn't match up, or the lighting was off, Etc...
I thought this project was a big success over all the video turned out great and we managed to get every club and sport on the parade we also got clips from all the schools which really put the video together.
